Rammed earth, warm timber, glass and natural finishes give Sapling its quiet strength and sense of permanence. The building feels refined without being overdone, allowing the textures of the landscape to remain part of the experience.
These materials bring warmth, depth and honesty to the space, creating a retreat that feels settled within the landscape rather than placed upon it.
The Design Mind Behind Sapling
Sapling was designed by Cameron Anderson Architects, a regional architecture and design studio based in Mudgee with a strong focus on sustainable, innovative and site-responsive design. Cameron Anderson is a registered architect with more than 20 years of professional experience, including work with award-winning firms in Sydney and Melbourne. Cameron and his wife Amber are the owners of Sapling at Rosby.
The practice has received much recognition across regional and sustainable architecture awards programs, including the Australian Institute of Architects NSW Emerging Architect Prize, AIA NSW Country Division awards and national sustainability award recognition. Their work reflects a deep understanding of regional landscapes, thoughtful materials and architecture that responds beautifully to place.
